DELIVERIES BY OFF-DUTY POLICEMEN from Plano, McKinney, Allen and Wylie totaled 755 meals. Some were bulk deliveries [425] to places such as the Boys and Girls Club, City House, Samaritan Inn and Plano Community House. Individual deliveries [330] were mostly to the Meals on Wheels routes in Plano, McKinney and Wylie.
RICHARD BUTTERLY, owner of Poor Richard's Cafe and chief architect of the day, opened the activities with a prayer, and then circulated around.
LAST MINUTE INSTRUCTIONS were given to the various groups of Servers, Order Takers, Bus Boys, and Drink Servers who served 703 meals from 11 am to 1 pm.
FORMER MEMBER MELODY TIMINSKY and family and friends took care of the Pies.
