 VISITING ROTARIANS were Congressman Sam Johnson [R-3rd Dist-TX] <LINK> [Retired Air Force] from the Plano West Rotary Club and City Manager Tom Muehlenbeck [Tourist] from the Plano Rotary Club.  As breakfast started, Sam said "I think we ought to say a blessing before we get too far into this meal" and so we did!

BUMBLING INEPTITUDE was the order of the day. The meeting was moved to Saturday in Richardson at the District Assembly, but no one told our faithful servers Ramon and Rene and they dutifully came before dawn and prepared a sumptuous  feast for  50+ people.  President Rod fined himself two-bits and pledged to pay the breakfast bill anyway.


FAILING TO READ THE BULLETIN, read his email or pay attention in the meetings was Ray Hopper who had no trouble getting his favorite eating spot or paying the two-bit fine to ROTOPIG.
ALSO FAILING TO BE COMMUNICATED TO was City Council Person Shep Stahel, who sometimes rudely leaves early and thereby misses announcements about upcoming meetings.
REEVES DAVIS is astounded that there is no meeting and joins a line of fellow astoundees to pay homage [and two-bits] to ROTOPIG.

OLD WARRIORS MEET!  Retired Marine Fighter Pilot Reeves Davis [WWII, Korea & Vietnam] greets Retired Air Force Pilot Sam Johnson [Korea, Vietnam & the Hanoi Hilton]. They shared some "war stories".
 
THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM and plenty of food for today's non-meeting. The President and a reporter show up for canceled meetings to see who didn't pay attention and shows up, and to provide a courtesy makeup for Visiting Rotarians, who wouldn't know that there was no meeting.
ATTENDING TODAY'S DEBACLE were Reeves Davis, Colin Light, Shep Stahel, Doug Bicknell, Rod Hogan, Sam Johnson, Ray Hopper, Tom Muehlenbeck, Bill Peterson, Doug Cargo and Terry Dobbins.

NEXT WEEK'S MEETING will be catered by Poor Richard's Cafe <LINK> in honor of our 7th birthday. Board of Directors will meet at 8 am after the regular meeting. for the regular monthly BOD meeting.
