4-WAY TEST
Bob Warren

DISASTER STRUCK the photographic department last Friday.  The Compact Flash card holding all the wonderful pictures that Bill Neukranz took during the meeting died and even though Bill spent many hours trying various recovery modes and consulting with Lexar [the maker], he was unable to retrieve a single picture. Lost were all the machinations of ROTOPIG, Shep Stahel leaving early, the first picture of 4 [four] in a row spontaneous rabbit ears during the 4-Way Test and a special photo shoot of the program people signing the Library book donated to the Nellie B. McCall Library at the David B. McCall Elementary School.
VISITING ROTARIAN was Assistant District Governor Dick Seward [Ranching] from the Farmersville Rotary Club.

LUCKY GUEST was Bill Wray guest of Terry Dobbins. Bill has been proposed for  membership and approved for publication.  He's a nephew of Jeff Frauenheim from the Plano Rotary Club, lives in Murphy, wants to be active in Rotary serving the community.  He works for the Loewinsohn and Flegle law firm in North Dallas specializing in B2B law. He is loaned the classification of Attorney [aka Aturkey-at-Law]. He will be installed next week in a moving candlelight ceremony with Harp music [if President Rod can get it together].

ABSENT WERE Doug Bicknell, Steve Blair, Matt Brown, Kevin Cain, Reeves Davis, George Elwell, Yvonne Hanks, Skip Jenkins, Sharon Lewis, Juergen Mahneke, David Marks, David McCall, John Payton, Darrin Pennartz, Bill Peterson, John Roach, Greg Rushin, Chris Sharon, Richard Wells and Don Wilhelmus.

CLASSIFICATION TALK was supposed to be Bob Warren {CPA}, but someone donated $10 to ROTOPIG to skip his talk, which Bob graciously did.

BUD McBRAYER expounded  on the Rotary EXPO, Auction & Rummage Sale at Texas Stadium. <LINK> on Saturday, April 14th.  Richard Biggers is going to furnish a truck to get the stuff there and Colin Light is gong to handle the infrastructure.  That is also the Saturday we participate in the Annual "Clean up Plano" Event, where we do a sweat equity project of picking up trash in the creeks and alleys of our adopted subdivision  - Wyatt North.

BLOOD DRIVE CHAIRTHING Tom Rodgers noted that this year's District Blood Drive ends March 31.  We are just 247 pints short of meeting our goal. There will be a special blood drive tomorrow from 8am-4pm at Rousseau Village [Near the Bavarian Grill] in honor of George Elking [who is recovering well from hip replacement surgery and bypass heart surgery].

TODAY'S PROGRAM was a Team in Training <LINK> from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society <LINK>. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® is the world's largest endurance sports training program. The program provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides. Since 1988, more than 295,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $660 million. Team members were Jason Vincek, Aoine Bagheri, Leah Bartlett and Jessica McDonald. As is our custom, a book which was duly signed by them was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Jr. Elementary in the name of the speaker.  The book was "Now What Can I Do?"

SPECIAL EVENT OF THE DAY was the arrival of Elizabeth Antoinette Bicknell at 9:40 am this morning weighing 7# even and being 18.5" long. Mother and baby [and Dad] are doing fine and expect to be home on Monday the 12th.
