NO PROGRAM TODAY.  It was another District mandated Club Assembly whereby Officers and Directors report to the club members present about  "What's going on".

OUR FAITHFUL SERVERS Ramone and Rene got us off to a good start and then President Rod fined everyone two bits because the Sgt-at-Arms was absent.

WHY WE LIKE PIGS:  Dogs look up to us, cats look down on us, but pigs treat us as equals! ---  Winston Churchhill.

THIS IS GADGET  MONTH  and  Oktoberfest Gadget Chairthing Doug Bicknell hustled us to bring more gadget things for the auction at Oktoberfest.

BUD McBRAYER  told us about Rotary EXPO on April 14th. It is an  Auction & Rummage Sale at Texas Stadium <LINK> to create more public awareness of Rotary and raise money for the District Water Project.  Colin Light is the coordinator for our club.  Each Club will have a 6 x 6 booth [under the tent] to promote its club as well as its club projects. Start saving stuff which values at least $100  for resale.
VISITING ROTARIAN, introduced by Secretary Randy, was Sherman Millender {School Administration] from the Plano Rotary Club.

ABSENT WERE Ric Armstrong, Steve Blair, Richard Butterly, Kevin Cain, Doug Cargo, David Daniels, Reeves Davis, Steve Dippel, George Elking, Yvonne Hanks, Judy Jackson, David McCall, Bill Moore, Darrin Pennartz, Bill Peterson, Warner Richeson, John Roach, Tom Rodgers, Greg Rushin, Shep Stahel, Jim Stroup, Jane Wyen and Matt Moore.

SECRETARY RANDY gave us some pithy sayings related to tax season. "Next to being shot at and missed, nothing is quite as satisfying as an income tax refund." F.J. Raymond.  "The income tax has made more liars out of the American people than golf has. Even when you make a tax form out on the level, you don't know when it's through, if you are a crook or a martyr."  Will Rogers.

INDUCTED in a moving candlelight ceremony sans Harp Music was Bill Wray, who brought his own batteries for the candles.   Classification is "Attorney" aka "Aturkey-at-Law". He's a nephew of Jeff Frauenheim from the Plano Rotary Club, lives in Murphy and works for the Loewinsohn & Flegle law firm in North Dallas specializing in B2B law. Bill is sponsored by Terry Dobbins.

THERE WERE REPORTS from Secretary Randy who erroneously said we have 58 members. It's really only 57 and 4/9ths. New Treasurer Chris Roach said that some dues are WAY past due and he will be resolving the issues. Club Service Director Scott Villines says that he will be working on a new banner banner [which will block some sunshine] and will be rearranging the badge box. Community Service Director report from Rick Chron says that we will be partnering with a neighborhood church to do some Sweat Equity by scraping and painting homes owned by the elderly as well as  helping in the April 14th Spring Cleanup. Vocational Director Pat Hite is working on RYLA interviews.  International Director Colin Light says that we will be housing 2 members of the GSE team from South Africa and the group will be the program on March 30th. Also we are partnering with a Rotary Club in Royce City [TX] and one in Zambia to drill 4 water wells. VP Joyce Baumbach is working on a membership packet for new members and a tri-fold brochure suitable for club info.  Foundation Chairthing Skip Jenkins has a goal of 100% participation in the Rotary Foundation.  He needs more Sustaining Paul Harris Fellows. There are some matching funds available for members.
PRESIDENT ELECT RICHARD BIGGERS appears to be asleep during some of the presentations.

PRESIDENT ROD hit the "That Was Easy" button and gonged the meeting to a close a few minutes early.
