RENE AND RAMONE dished up the goodies. Stuff for Lawn & Garden month accumulated. President Rod took it easy during Poor Richard's  l o n g   joke of the day.

MEMBERSHIP PLUMMETED AGAIN with the demise of Chris Sharon [Alternative Fuels] who was exhausted.
 

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Randy were Harry Polly [Banking] from the Plano Rotary Club, John Sell [Consulting Psychologist] from Allen Sunrise and Lee Dunlap [Architect] from Plano Rotary.


LUCKY GUEST was Jackie Hall, guest of Randy Plumlee,  from the Assistance Center of Collin County. <LINK>


PRESIDENT ROD drafted Past President Richard Butterly to be Sgt-at-Arms. Richard and ROTOPIG relieved Rod of all his quarters.
BLOOD DRIVE CHAIRTHING Tom Rodgers told about the next annual Battle of the Badges Blood drive July 12-14 between the Police and Fire Departments. There will be a float in the 4th of July Parade related to this.

GEORGE ELWELL made one pitch for Lawn and Garden month and accepted goodies from Bill Wray and Darrin Pennartz.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING next week after the regular meeting.
 
PRESIDENT ROD,  aided by President-elect Richard,  presented a check to Jackie Hall for the Assistance Center of Collin County. <LINK>

TREASURER CHRIS ROACH opined that if the delinquent dues were collected, we could cover the check.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Joyce Baumbach, were Linda Elliott & David Crist, Co-Chairs for the Rotary Tuberculosis Program. <LINK>  TB can be prevented, treated and cured. Several Rotary districts in Texas and Mexico have joined in the fight against TB on the Texas-Mexico border. Texas Rotary Districts 5520, 5790, 5810, 5840, 5870, and 5930 and Mexican Rotary Districts 4110 and 4130 have come together to develop the Rotary Strategic Plan Against Tuberculosis on the Texas-Mexico Border. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in the name of the program and duly signed by them.  The Book was "That's What Friends Are For" <LINK> by Florence Perry Heide et al.

THE FENDER
, originally presented to Doug Ray on April 19, 2002 <LINK> for Secretary's Day  by Sharon Lewis was passed on to Secretary Randy Plumlee, who will accord it a place of honor in his home.  Each year THE FENDER is further embellished  by the recipient before going to the next Secretary.
