THE BULLETIN IDITOR was out of town and these notes are brought to you by the Assistant Editor.

ACTING SECRETARY SCOTT did an admirable job of filling in for Randy. He even managed to have a couple of quotes ready to go at podium. One was by Bertrand Russell, " The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." The next quote was by Benjamin Franklin, " Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is well armed lamb contesting the vote."

The SGT-AT-ARMS was absent as well, and Steve Blair was elected to replace Doug. He immediately fined all city employees, starting with our own traveling tourist, Tom Muehlenbeck, Rod Hogan and Greg Rushin.

VISITING ROTARIANS - Tom Muehlenbeck (City Manager) from the Plano club, Walter Meyer (Swimming Pool Construction) also from the Plano club and John Bowgeon (Financial advisor) from the Plano Metro club.

ABSENT WERE Rick Armstrong, Richard Butterly, Reeves Davis, Terry Dobbins, Yvonne Hanks, Glenn Justice, Colin Light, Skip Jenkins, Eric Hatter, Juergen Mahneke, David McCall, Don Mellor, Matt Moore, John Payton, Bill Peterson, Brenda Rogers and Bob Warren.

CLASSIFICATION TALK  - Bill Moore, P.E. (mechanical engineer)  works in
the food supplement industry. He specifically analyses the efficiency of machines designed to speed up food processing and delivery of various food and beverage businesses within the Metroplex.

COACH - Jim Stroup, gave an accounting report that we have not been getting the sports items coming in this month, so it was decided to pass the hat.

TODAY'S PROGRAM was City of Plano, employee of the month, Heather Merchant. She help found and implement the program "Live Green " for City of Plano. She also has been responsible to help bring in over 300,000 dollars of additional funds through different fund raising events over her tenure with the city. Next year on April 12th, her Live Green fund raising event will need all of the space at The Plano Center next year. She also spoke of another program called " Get on our Bus detour, " in which the up coming event for June is on Water Conservation. As usual for program speaker, there is a book donated to the David B McCall Elementary and Nellie McCall library. The book was called " My First Green Book," which was thus signed by Heather.
