RAMONE AND RENE SERVED UP BREAKFAST so that President Rod could try to gain control of the meeting.

LUCKY GUESTS were Gordon Beach guest of Warner Richeson and Charles Wolford guest of Rod Hogan.

SECRETARY RANDY has about run out of clever sayings so he picked on Steve Blair. Randy did have one from Pete Seeger: "Education is when you read the fine print. Experience is what you get if you don't."

MEMBERSHIP PLUMMETED AGAIN with the demise of Darrin Pennartz [Real Estate] who must have grown listless.

BLOOD DRIVE CHAIRTHING TOM RODGERS presented us with a certificate from Carter BloodCare <LINK> and reminded us of a blood drive on the three Collin County Community College Campuses on June 26 and again sent sign-up sheets around. The Battle of the Badges Blood drive will have a float in the 4th of July Parade and the blood lines will be drawn between the Police and Fire Departments on July 12, 13, 14.

MEMBERSHIP PLUMMETED AGAIN with the demise of Matt Moore [Banking] who was just inducted Jan 5, 2007. His short term interest was way down.

CHARLES WOLFORD from CityHouse <LINK>  told about their partnership with Ikea <LINK> who is going to sponsor some rooms in "My Friend's House" <LINK>

ABSENT WERE Ric Armstrong, Rick Chron, David Daniels, Terry Dobbins, Yvonne Hanks, Paul Huang, Skip Jenkins, Glenn Justice, Ken Lambert, Ken Lambert, Bud McBrayer, David McCall, John Payton, Bill Peterson and Jane Wyen.

STEVE BLAIR  promoted the annual Hendrick Academy of Honor <LINK> shootout. They have a thing against clay pigeons and this years  Sporting Clay Shoot is scheduled for June 8, 2007 at the Elm Fork Shooting Club in North Dallas at 10751 Luna Rd #A. Shot gun start will be at 10am.

TEETOTALER WARNER RICHESON is in charge of collecting fine wines for auction at Oktoberfest and started off with two wines from Oklahoma that are anti UT and have the Longhorns upside down on the label.

AUCTION CHAIRTHING JUDY JACKSON has tax deductible donation forms for auction items and sure would appreciate having them filled out for the items that have come in.

TODAY'S PROGRAM,  introduced by Program Chairthing John Roach, was County Judge Keith Self. John had a good time with the introduction and Keith had a good time responding. He says that we are the fastest growing county in America and there are challenges in Transportation, Toll Roads, Schools, Water, County Hospital and taxes. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in the name of the speaker and was duly signed by him.  the book was "John, Paul, George and Ben" <LINK> by Lane Smith.

JOINT BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING was held after the regular meeting.  The best to date. The  two milestone events of the year: Rod going out and Richard ascending.

An anonymous reporter had this to say: "General reports from the Prez.  Old business, none to speak of and new business, nothing worth mentioning.  Reports from the chairs were very short and no financials to speak of.  Money in, money out, won't know about the 'some left over' until the end of this month.  Bad sign I think.  At that point the pig will be cleansed and hopefully keep us afloat.
Colin has finalized our water well project in Africa and is working on the details regarding his travel to represent our Club and District.
Pat Hite is taking our RYLA kids to camp on Sunday and picking them up next weekend.
Danny Morris was approved for membership but classification was unknown.

Board adopted a new budget.   (Signs of fantasy spending and wishful projections)  Doug has agreed to take on July's club programs, Richard "Behind already" Biggers  is looking for some program help.

Rod Hogan will miss the June 8th and 22nd meeting.  Biggers will fill in on the 8th and back by popular demand will be Butterly on the 22nd.  He just could not stand idly by and watch the year completely slip into disarray and dysfunction.
Club induction dinner on June 28th.  Time to turn the leadership back over to the private sector."
