RAMONE AND RENE took care of providing the breakfast while President-Elect Richard "Already Behind" Biggers gave us an ugly preview of his upcoming administration.

GUESTS AND VISITING ROTARIANS were introduced by Acting Secretary Pat Hite, who was fined severely for mangling names. Visiting Rotarians were Fred Bemenderfer [Land Surveyor] from Plano West Rotary Club, John R. Bourgeois [Financial Advisor] from Plano Metro Rotary Club and Happy Franklin [ Financial Planning] from the Preston Center Rotary Club. Lucky Guests were  Leslie Cain, guest of and wife to Kevin Cain and Danny Morris, guest of and neighbor to Shep Stahel.

ABSENT WERE Doug Bicknell, Steve Blair, Rick Chron, George Elwell, Rod Hogan, Judy Jackson, Skip Jenkins, Glenn Justice, Colin Light, Juergen Mahneke, Bud McBrayer, David McCall, John Payton, Randy Plumlee, John Roach, Brenda Rogers, Greg Rushin, Jim Stroup, Richard Wells And Jane Wynn.

SGT-AT-ARMS DOUG CARGO collected two- bit fines.  Acting President Rod and Visiting Rotarian Fred talked about RYLA camp, which was winding up today.
TEE TOTALING SOMMELIER Warner Richeson collected a bottle of "JARHEAD RED" which is made by Marines, for Marines and sold only to Marines [or their families]. This will be a big Auction Item at Oktoberfest.

BLOOD DRIVE CHAIRTHING TOM RODGERS  reminded us of the  blood drive on the three Collin County Community College Campuses on June 26.  The Battle of the Badges Blood drive will have a float in the 4th of July Parade and the blood lines are drawn between the Police and Fire Departments on July 12, 13, 14.

HAPPY FRANKLIN, from the District 5810 Membership Action Team, notified us that she would be with us only for one more meeting and that next year we would have Harry Polly to contend with. She presented sponsor pins to some members, who have proposed new members that joined Rotary, but she completely missed President-Elect/Acting President Richard Biggers. ROTOPIG is looking forward to her visit next week.  Ken Lambert wanted to know if you had to give the pin back if the member you sponsored had already dropped out.

TREASURER CHRIS ROACH noted that there were some members, who still had not paid their dues for this quarter and already the 3rd quarter [Jul-Aug-Sep] is fast approaching. He's going to send out emails to the miscreants and was fined for not being more diligent in collecting our just due.

DISTRICT BLOOD CHAIRTHING GEORGE ELKING
finally got a word in edgewise after being suppressed by the Acting President during  Tom Rodgers bloody presentation.  George noted that Huffines Auto Dealerships <LINK> is having a blood drive on June 26th and next year he hopes to incorporate it into the District Blood Drive.

ROTOPIG COLLECTED FINES
from the unprecedented President Elect Richard Biggers for being "Behind Already" and from Kevin Cain for taking more than 6 years to bring his wife to a meeting.

POLITELY  LEAVING EARLY were Pat Hite at 7:49am  and Reeves Davis at 7:51 am.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Joyce Baumbach, was Kelley Stone, Director of Homeland Security in Collin County <LINK>.  He was assisted by Dr. Bob Johnson. The Fusion System Mission is  "get the right data, to the right people, at the right time, while protecting the individual rights of all citizens." As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David B. McCall Elementary school in the name of the speaker and duly signed by him.  The Book was "Hurricane City" by Sara Weeks.

AN EXCUSED MEMBER'S ABSENCE does not count against the club's monthly attendance record, but it does count against the member.  If you miss and don't make up, you DON'T  have perfect attendance.  This is a benefit for older members with health problems.

Club Constitution: Article 8, Section 3 Excused Absences. A member’s absence shall be excused if

(a) the absence complies with the conditions and under circumstances approved by the board. The board may excuse a member’s absence for reasons which it considers to be good and sufficient.
(b) the aggregate of the member’s years of age and years of membership in one or more clubs is 85 years or more and the member has notified the club secretary in writing of the member’s desire to be excused from attendance and the board has approved.

Section 4 RI Officers’ Absences.A member’s absence shall be excused if the member is a current officer of RI.
Section 5 Attendance Records. Any member whose absences are excused under the provisions of sections 3 or 4 of this article shall not be included in the membership figure used to compute this club’s attendance nor shall such absences or attendances be used for that purpose.
