RAMONE AND RENE were colorfully dressed and ready to serve breakfast.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS ROTOPIG? President Richard is building his legacy. He still doesn't know where ROTOPIG is.  He was last seen in Richard's truck but Richard said he got out of the pig sty.  That must mean his truck is a pig sty.  There was a rumor that ROTOPIG was seen on a DART bus headed south.

VISITING ROTARIANS AND GUESTS
, introduced by Secretary Chris were Dick Rintala [CPA] from Plano West Rotary and Robert Posner [Collin Creek Church] guest of Judy Jackson.

SECRETARY CHRIS LAID THIS STORY ON US.
The local bar was so sure that its bartender was the strongest man around that they offered  a standing $1000 bet.  The bartender would squeeze a lemon until all the juice ran into a glass and hand the lemon to a patron. Anyone who could squeeze even one more drop of juice could win the money. Many tried but no one could.  One day a scrawny little man came in and tried the bet.  The bartender grabbed a lemon and squeezed away and handed the wrinkled remains of the rind to the little man, who clenched his fist around the lemon and six drops fell into the glass. As the crowd cheered, the bartender asked the little man what he did for a living. Was he a lumberjack, weightlifter or what?  No. He replied that he worked for Rod Hogan. ROTOPIG Jr squeezed a quarter out of Rod.

ABSENT WERE Colin Light, Steve Blair, Matt Brown, Kevin Cain, George Elking, Yvonne Hanks,  Ken Lambert, Sharon Lewis, Juergen Mahneke, David Marks, Don Mellor, Danny Morris, John Payton, Brenda Rogers and Greg Rushin.

MEMBERSHIP CONTINUES TO PLUMMET under the new administration.  Fading away due to the pressures of early morning work is Jim Stroup [Convention Center]. Jim is currently responsible for our Pot bellied pig - Penelope, since he was the last person to miss and NOT make up on April 5, 2002 <LINK>.  Care and feeding of Penelope will be a hot topic at the next BOD meeting.

PRESIDENT RICHARD ANNOUNCED that Royce City Rotary is having a golf tournament on Oct 5th and if anyone goes, would they check around for ROTOPIG.

SHEP STAHEL CAME IN LATE but he didn't leave early.

RICK CHRON was presented an award from the District by Bud McBrayer for the work that the did on the ROTARY EXPO.

RANDY PLUMLEE noted that Colin Light needed assistance tomorrow at the warehouse sorting books for Book Drive Project <LINK>.
AUCTION CHAIRTHING JUDY JACKSON hustled us for more auction items. Anything goes.  Someone has donated  treatments of Botox and a Dermabrasion from a Plastic surgeon.

SECRETARY CHRIS reported that grandkid #2 - Nathan Scott - is one year old today.   He also mentioned that he has the verbiage and stuff, if you want to send an email blast [aka SPAM] about Oktoberfest to your email lists.

DON WILHELMUS RUDELY LEFT EARLY AT 7:30 AM.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Assistant City Manager Rod Hogan, was Jim Fox who is the Park Service Manager.  He came to Plano in 1982, is married with 3 children and likes the outdoor life and golf.  He gave an overview and a history of the Parks Department.  He noted that the Tom Muehlenbeck Center is opening soon and will be dedicated on November 2, 2007.  As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary school in Jim's name and duly signed by him.  The book was "One Day In The Woods" <LINK>
