SOME WONDERFUL PERSON took notes and passed them on to the Editor [who was out of town] and this bulletin is fabricated from those notes and Bill Neukranz's  excellent pictures.

PRESIDENT RICHARD [BIGGERS] continued his legacy: ROTOPIG is still lost; membership is down to 48; no programs are lined up; bulletin is worse than usual; BOD is riddled with unfilled positions; Oktoberfest is dragging; treasurer is double billing; records are random and humor is on the decline.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Director of Membership Joyce Baumbach, were Brad Shanklin [C of C] from the Plano Rotary Club, Lee Dunlap [Architect] form the Plano Rotary Club, John Bourgeois [Financial Advisor] from the Plano Metro Club and Jeff Frauenheim [Marketing] from the Plano Rotary Club. Jeff is Bill Wray's cousin and introduced him to our vicious and unprincipled group.

LUCKY GUESTS
were Michelle Robbins guest of Joyce Baumbach, Mike Sawyer guest of Rick Chron and Robert Posner guest of the absent Judy Jackson.

MEMBERSHIP CHAIRTHING Joyce was fined for mangling the introductions and having NO wise saying to pass along.

PRESIDENT RICHARD called for Oktoberfest reports.  Randy Plumlee filled in for the absent Judy Jackson and said we needed more stuff and more club involvement. Sgt-at-Arms Doug had a few fine moments and Brenda Rogers reported on something or other.

DISTRICT BLOOD DRIVE CHAIRPERSON George Elking presented some District Awards for the Blood Drive.

PAST PRESIDENT ROD HOGAN presented a Paul Harris Fellow to Bill Neukranz and a belated pin to President Richard.

INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR Colin Light asked for help tomorrow to finish packing the books for South Africa. <LINK>

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Temporary Program Chairthing Doug Ray, was Brad Shanklin, President/CEO of the Plano Chamber of Commerce. <LINKHe gave an updated on the Chamber Organization and noted that there are 1400 members. The current Chairman of the Board is Steve Matthews of Atmos Energy.  As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary school in Brad's name and duly signed by him.  The book was "Good News, Bad News"  by Colin McNaughton <LINK>.

PRESIDENT RICHARD had no answer to the burning question: "WHERE IS ROTOPIG?"
