OUR EVER FAITHFUL SERVERS, Rene and Ramone are ready to "hand" us the scrambled eggs and other breakfast goodies. Secretary Chris and President Richard wonder what to do about the lack of the Sgt-at-Arms and the lack of ROTOPIG.

JUDY JACKSON WAS DRAFTED to be Sgt-at-Arms for the day and promptly fined several miscreants who were not wearing their Rotary pin and then the Bulletin Iditor for failing to announce the arrival of grandkid #14 on Thursday afternoon in Ft. Worth.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Chris,  were Billy J Meeks [Private Investigator] from Plano Metro Rotary Club and Boyd Craig [HVAC] from Plano Rotary Club.

ABSENT WERE Matt Brown, Richard Butterly, Kevin Cain, Doug Cargo, David Daniels, Steve Dippel, Doug Ray, John Roach, Brenda Rogers, Richard Wells, Don Wilhelmus, Jane Wyen, Rod Hogan, Ken Lambert, Juergen Mahneke, Danny Morris, John Payton and Bill Peterson.

SECRETARY CHRIS floated some ideas for a Banner for Oktoberfest. "Everyone Needs to Believe in Something - I believe I'll have another beer."
"The greatest experience in life is doing what other people say you cannot do." "Time flies like a arrow, but fruit flies like a banana."
"E=MC2.   It's not just a good idea, it's the law."
"There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary & those  who don't."

PRESIDENT RICHARD
, still building his legacy, called on PI Billy Meeks to give a report on his search for ROTOPIG, who was last seen at the meeting of Aug 3.  Billy said there has been no ransom note.  The pictures emailed in anonymously indicate that ROTOPIG must have had help. President Richard gave Billy a list of suspects with only one name on it. That wasn't much help.

DAVID MARKS
passed out cards to sign for Operation Veterans Support [OVS] for "Make a Difference in a Veteran's Day". Rotarians at the District Conference will package and send these cards to troops and vets at bases and hospitals in Texas. David will be collecting cards from the kids on Oct 10th at McCall Elementary with a Veteran in Uniform.

OKTOBERFEST CHAIRTHING RANDY PLUMLEE noted that we have just 2 weeks to go. Starting tomorrow, the auction items in the warehouse will be moved to Judy Jackson's house for assembly. Meet there Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 7 pm.  Judy announced that almost new member Michelle Robbins has donated two tickets to the Cowboy Game on Thanksgiving Day. Veterinarian Yvonne Hanks has donated some Pet Care.  David Marks told how easy it was to get Restaurant Coupons by just stopping in and asking.

RUDELY LEAVING EARLY was Shep Stahel at 7:26 am.

INDUCTED IN A MOVING CANDLELIGHT ceremony  was Michelle Robbins [Data Processing]. There was no Harp music but something new: a bubble machine! Michelle said we all look like pigs as President Richard imitated an oinker.

TODAY'S  PROGRAM, introduced and starred in by Bud McBrayer, was George Ritcheske. George is the President of the Coppell Rotary Club and a believer in the new Rotary International Leadership Institute [RILI] <LINK>. Applications are being taken Class #9 on October 27-28, 2007 and Class #10 on February 16-17, 2008. The two day learning experience is to acquire the skills of Outstanding Leadership. Sharon Lewis is an alumni and detailed her experiences. George received a handy dandy Rotary pen instead of a certificate and used it to sign the book donated in his name to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School. The book was " The Eyes of the Gray Wolf" <LINK>
