SGT-AT-ARMS DOUG CARGO and ROTOPIG Jr. had several visits with Oktoberfest Auction Chairman Judy Jackson.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Chris, were Alice Hobbs [Symphony] from the Plano Rotary Club and Brenda Taylor [County Clerk] from  Plano West. She announced that their member Luke Lyman, who was run over by a bus in Paris, France, is back home. The club is raffling off 4 tickets to a football game on Thanksgiving to help defray his expenses.

GUESTS WERE Nate Moore [Graphics] guest of Matt Brown, Jennifer Smith [Auto Loans] guest if Eric Hartter, Janet Kieffer [Marketing] guest of Bill Neukranz and Stef Carter [Prosecutor] guest of George Elking, who was severely fined two bits for machinations with Stef's introduction.

RUDELY COMING IN LATE was Don Mellor.

PERMANENT BADGES were presented to Michelle Robbins [Data Processing] from EDS and  Robert Posner [Soul Processing] from Collin Creek Church.

SGT-AT-ARMS DOUG noted that ROTOPIG seemed to be missing again, but President Richard said that ROTOPIG  had been traumatized by his missing adventure and went thru a complete makeover and now here he was in a red bow tie. Someone commented: "That's not a pig, it's a dog".  So Blue Rover went back in the bag and Doug was reunited with the real thing once again.

BLOOD DRIVE CHAIRTHING Tom Rodgers passed around sign-up sheets for the Blood Drive on Wednesday, November 14th at three Collin Community College Campuses.
AUCTION CHAIRMAN Judy Jackson, filling in for the cruising Auction Chairthing Randy Plumlee, reported that some auction items came in, some went out and there were some left over. The left over's will be auctioned off at our meetings beginning today. Guest Jennifer Smith bought a back up device worth $229 for a mere $50 for her pickup truck.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Interim Program Chairthing Paul Huang, was County Commissar Jerry Hoagland, who presented information on the upcoming Bond Election on November 6.  The bond program was developed by three county-wide citizens committees and approved by the Collin County Commissioners Court. Early Voting <LINK> begins Monday, November 22. Last year 88 people per day moved into Collin County and brought 94 cars per day with them.  County Population is at 725,000. The Bond election is for the next five years and was put together to have no Tax increase.  It covers Roads, Buildings and Parks. There is more information at www.collincountybonds.org. As is our custom a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in Jerry's name and duly signed by him.  The book was "I Spy-Golden Challenger" because it had a picture of a city with roads.
