RAMONE AND RENE are ready to serve breakfast as The Chief settles up with the Treasurer and the Ticket Meister.

SGT-AT-ARMS DOUG CARGO and the refreshed and refurbished ROTOPIG had many fine moments collecting fees for bad [clean but bad] jokes and using a PDA during the meeting. There was also a plethora of paying fines for Rotarians falsely accused of not wearing their pins as well as a contribution to the "fine bucket" of the speakers.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by acting Secretary Joyce Baumbach, were Gerald Montgomery [Retail] from the Park Cities Rotary Club and Tom Brian [Dentistry] and Griff Moore [? ? ] from the Allen Rotary Club.

ABSENT WERE Steve Blair, David Daniels, Reeves Davis, Steve Dippel, Yvonne Hanks, Ray Hopper, Judy Jackson, Ken Lambert, Bud McBrayer, Don Mellor, John Payton, Bill Peterson, Randy Plumlee,  Chris Roach, John roach and Brenda Rogers.

LUCKY GUEST was Jennifer Smith [Auto Loans] from McKinney, guest of Eric Hartter [Autos]. Jennifer will be inducted next week in a moving candlelight ceremony, sans Harp Music, but with bubbles wafting through the air.

BLOOD DRIVE CHAIRTHING Tom Rodgers reminds us of the Collin County Community College,  3 Campus Blood Drive on November 14th. He still needs some help and passed out signup sheets.
PRESIDENT RICHARD II presented a check to Karen Marks and Helen Franz from the Blue Star Mothers <LINK> local Chapter for the cost of mailing packages to service people overseas at Christmas.

ALLEN ROTARIANS Tom Brian and Griff Moore spoke on their club's project to see that every child in District 5810 who needs a warm winter coat gets one by Christmas.


MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
award on the Rotary Team at Oktoberfest voted by the Bavarian Grill Staff and Team Members was presented to Richard Wells.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Paul Huang, was a group from the Taiwan Buddhist Tzuchi Foundation They explained that Tzu Chi in Chinese means "Serving with Compassion". They told about their World Wide Charitable, Medical and Education Services. They provide medical care, food, clothing and comfort to the poor, elderly, sick and underprivileged  and have assisted individuals and communities in 58 nations.  As is our custom a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in the group's  name and duly signed by them.  The book was "People".


BOARD OF DIRECTORS MET
after the regular meeting. Present were Scott Villines, Doug Ray, Rod Hogan, Joyce Baumbach, Sharon Lewis, Colin Light, Rick Chron, Richard Biggers, Doug Cargo, Warner Richeson, Pat Hite and Terry Dobbins. Tourists were George Elking, Richard Butterly, Juergen Mahneke, Richard Wells and Bill Wray.

Attendance was discussed.  The triumphant return of ROTOPIG was noted. Christmas Party with parent club in Early December. No meeting on November 23rd. Membership is at 49 with one to be inducted. Colin Light will be the club Bookkeeper aiding the Treasurer who reported that some money had come in, some money had gone out and there was some left over. Matching grant for water has been done. Coming up are Thanksgiving, Christmas Cops, Angel Tree and the need to move the books for South Africa out of the temporary warehouse until they can be shipped to Houston. Recommendation was made that the President-Elect and one new member be sent to RYLI each year.  BOD work Day on the 10th to fulfill the auction item obligation.
