FAITHFUL SERVER RENE served up breakfast while Treasurer-Secretary-Elect Pat Hite checked the roll and signed in the visitors.

ACTING-SGT-AT-ARMS JENNIFER SMITH was also drafted for the Joke-of-the Day but deferred to Bud McBrayer, who did paid a dollar to ROTOPIG for a Happy Day.  He recently got his eye problems fixed up and has a much better outlook now as well as some new insight. Jennifer had to fine herself because she didn't have her badge on.  This terrible discrepancy was pointed out by past Sgt-At-Arms Ken Lambert who delivered the badge to her.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary-Elect Pat Hite, were Fred Bemenderfer [Land Surveyor] from the Plano West Rotary Club, Charles Wolford [Family Services] from the Plano Rotary Club and Luis Crespo [Business Consultant] from the Dallas Evening Rotary Club.

LUCKY GUEST was Becky Perry, guest of Brenda Rogers.  Becky is an Associate Executive Director at Plano Sunrise Senior Living <LINK> at Parker & Preston.

ABSENT WERE Steve Blair, Matt Brown, Richard Butterly, Doug Cargo, Rick Chron, Reeves Davis, Yvonne Hanks, Ray Hopper, Judy Jackson, David Marks, John Payton, Bill Peterson, Robert Posner, John Roach, Tom Rodgers, Greg Rushin, Shep Stahel and Mark Rhodes.

SECRETARY-ELECT PAT regaled us with some humorous sayings, but didn't pass them on for publication.

ACTING SGT-AT-ARMS Jenniferky introduced ROTOPIG to George Elking.
PRESIDENT RICHARD THE 2ND encouraged the incoming Officer and Directors as well as new members to attend the District Assembly on Saturday, April 19th.  <LINK> The Club pays the $15 fee for those attending this training session.  President-Elect Randy updated us on the first Oktoberfest planning meeting.

PRESIDENT RICHARD THE 2ND announced that Nellie McCall's Birthday Bash,  catered here by Poor Richard's Cafe <LINK>,  will be at the regular meeting on April 4th.  Also there will be a Power Point Presentation on the History of Oktoberfest as well as the Board meeting at 8am. Librarians will be invited to receive the books we have collected for Nellie's Library at David McCall Elementary.

JUERGEN MAHNEKE has reserved the Jaeger Stube at the Bavarian Grill <LINK> from 2 pm to 8:30 pm, for the creative workshop on the Power Point Presentation for the History of Oktoberfest.  Past President Richard the 1st has provided an outline and many pictures. If you have any pictures or ideas, email them or burn to a CD and drop them off.

FOUNDATION CHAIRTHING ROD HOGAN noted that the goal is to have 100% participation in the Paul Harris Foundation. For new members, the Club will match up to $250 dollars, so one could become a Paul Harris Fellow for $750. A nice wall hanging Plaque containing the certificate and medal  will be donated by the club. Rod showed off the one for Yvonne Hanks.  One can become a sustaining Paul Harris Fellow for a pledge of $100/year for 10 years.  Some members are doing this by contributing $25 per quarter with their dues payment.

DAVID DANIELS ANNOUNCED A BLOOD DRIVE sponsored by Ebby Halliday, REALTORS®  from 2-5 pm on Tuesday, March 18th  at Reunion Title just North of the Ebby Office on Plano Road in Garland.

THE PROGRAM FOR TODAY cancelled so Program Chairthing Michelle Robbins told a joke and accepted jokes from Doug Ray and Bud McBrayer.

SHARON LEWIS told about some of the work that Justice of the Peace Johnny Lewis has done with Charles Wolford from City House.  Charles agreed to be a program at a later date. The Prez finally gonged the meeting to a close.
