JOHN ROACH WAS BRIBED with a donation to ROTOPIG NOT to tell his joke, but Richard Butterly filled in.  Richard Wells noted that there was nothing wrong with having nothing to say unless you insist on saying it.

VISITING ROTARIANS AND GUESTS, introduced by Secretary Pat Hite, were City Employee Mark Israelson, guest or Rod Hogan, Becky Perry guest of Brenda Rogers and finally the late arriving Charles Wolford [Family Services] from the Plano Rotary Club. Secretary Pat had some observations about drive-by ATM machines with Braille instructions and why hot dogs come in packages of 10 but buns in packages of 8.

PHOTOGRAPHER BILL
took a break from taking pictures to give a 120 second introduction for Councilman Loretta Ellerbe, who is running for re-election in Place 3.  He paid ROTOPIG two-bits a second [$30] for making the political announcement.

LUCKY ABSENTEES WERE Steve Blair, Matt Brown, David Daniels, Reeves Davis, Steve Dippel, Yvonne Hanks, Judy Jackson, Juergen Mahneke, Bud McBrayer, Bill Moore, Danny Morris, Bill Peterson, Randy Plumlee, Robert Posner, Brenda Rogers, Greg Rushin, Shep Stahel and Don Wilhelmus.

ROTOPIG HAD MANY FINE MOMENTS. Judge John Payton came in late and left early. CPA Bob Warren left early and Scott Villines left real early after setting up the the meeting place.

PROPOSED FOR MEMBERSHIP and approved for publication was Becky Perry.   Becky is an Associate Executive Director at Plano Sunrise Senior Living <LINK> at Parker & Preston. She is sponsored by Brenda Rogers and will be loaned the classification of "Senior Living".

PRESIDENT RICHARD II
called on Blood Drive Chairthing Tom Rodgers for an impromptu report. We won the District High Total this year.  District goal next year is 6609.  Blood Drive at Poor Richard's on Tuesday. The District has collected over 22,000 units since Governor Mark Healy started the drive 4 years ago. Tom received two bits FROM ROTOPIG for the best unprepared report ever, but he still was fined for his phone ringing out loud.

PRESIDENT RICHARD II sent ROTOPIG to a group in the far corner who were harassing the late arriving David Marks, who's cell phone sang,  during Program Chairthing Michelle's introduction of the speaker.

TODAY'S PROGRAM WAS Andrea Allen, who gave us a short, medium and long term stock market report.  Two things gleaned: [1] Gamblers are nervous and [2] investors should stay in for the long [15-20 years] haul. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School and duly signed by the speaker. The book was titled "Numbers: Counting It Up".

Secretary-Elect and Treasurer Pat Hite agreed to move up early and step into President-Elect. Joyce Baumbach agreed to step in to the Secretary spot and move up in subsequent years. That coupled with the elections last December 14th makes the the Board of Directors beginning July 1, 2008 look like:
