FAITHFUL SERVER RENE has some help as he prepares to dish up breakfast.  Sgt-at-Arms Doug Cargo and ROTOPIG are ready to have some fine moments.

PRESIDENT RICHARD II said that the Joke of the Day would be silent. "Everybody think of a joke and if it's funny - - - laugh".

VISITING ROTARIANS AND GUESTS, introduced by Secretary Pat Hite, were Charles Worford [Non-Profit] from the Plano Rotary Club and Chris Parr [University Administration] from the Plano Rotary Club. Chris did have his Rotary pin on and avoided a fine moment with ROTOPIG.  The retired Gordon Beach was the guest of Bud McBrayer.

SOMMELIER  WARNER
took a break from collecting wine to give an  introduction for Mabrie Jackson, who is running for election in City Council Place 3.  He paid ROTOPIG for making the political announcement.

SECRETARY PAT
had some humorous sayings, but was picked on because guest Gordon Beach had no name tag on.  It turned out that Gordon had lost his name tag, so he paid a fine to ROTOPIG.

ABSENT WERE Matt Brown, Richard Butterly, Rick Chron, David Daniels, Steve Dippel, Yvonne Hanks, Eric Hartter, Ray Hopper, Sharon Lewis, Juergen Mahneke, David Marks, Danny Morris, John Payton, Doug Ray, Mark Rhodes, John Roach, Brenda Rogers, Greg Rushin, Shep Stahel, Richard Wells and Don Wilhelmus.

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONIES for City House's new Transitional Living Homes will be  Tuesday, May 6,  from  6-7 pm. [LINK]

PRESIDENT RICHARD II was taken to task for his casual attire. He said that attendance at the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament allows it. He passed out Thank You notes from the Librarians at Mendenhall and McCall Elementary Schools for the books we donated.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER IN PLANO at noon on May 1 at the Courtyard Theater, 1509 Avenue H was highlighted by Chris Parr. It is hosted by the City of Plano Multicultural Outreach Organization [MCOR]. [LINK]

SECRETARY PAT HITE was stunned to receive "The Fender" in honor of what used to be National Secretary's Day and now is Administrative Professional's Day and falls on Wednesday of the last full week in April [April 23rd this year].  His deep moral obligation is to proudly display The Fender in his home until this time next year, whereupon he will add some new embellishment and pass it on to the next Club Secretary.

RUDELY SNEAKING OUT EARLY at 7:38 am was Don Mellor.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Temporary Program Chairthing Michelle Robbins, was Lyn Baker.  She co-authored the book Generous Kids: Helping Your Child Experience the Joy of Giving [LINK] with Coleen O'Donnell. Her assistant, who slipped in late past Secretary Pat, was Erin Jamieson. We need to teach our children to be generous, just like we teach them to brush their teeth. Make it a habit to be generous. We all have time, talent and treasure to share. Put giving time on the calendar and make it simple, intentional and a habit. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School and duly signed by the speaker. The book was titled "My World, Can I Help". [LINK]

MICHELLE ROBBINS, who is temporarily doing a magnificent job as Program Chairthing, has agreed to help out with the Bulletin Stuff and the Web Page.  She will be known as Assistant Bulletin Editor or Assistant Webmaster or both.

SECRETARY PAT had a fine moment with ROTOPIG because our newest member, Becky Perry, doesn't have a badge.
