Rotarians and guests. |

Before he gets too far into the introductions, Sgt-at-Arms Doug Cargo has
found visiting Rotarian Ken Maun and decided to fine him $0.25 of his
appraised Rotary pin value for not wearing his pin to the meeting. Then, when
he could not put his fork down during his introduction, his fined was
reappraised and raised to $1.00.
Other visiting Rotarians and guests were Tom Muehlenbeck
(Tourist) from the Plano club, Art, the Greek, "Smith", guest of Don Mellor,

Lambert, Sharon Lewis, Juergen Mahneke, Bill Petersen, Robert Posner, John
Roach, Greg Rushin, and Richard Wells.
The disruptions continued as Paul Huang's cell phone rang.
Did you really think you could get any shorter, Paul? Then, two members, Don
Wilhelmus and Shep Stahel were called out and fined for failing to inform
and apologize to the speaker for their planned early departures.
| Now to the business of the day.... Grape
gatherer, Warner Richeson, thought that the Merlot was a bit heavy for
ham and eggs so he asked club members to bring more bottles for testing
with the oatmeal. He announced that we are at 50% of our 150 bottle
goal. |

Retiring Plano City Council member Shep Stahel was honored for his service
with the presentation of a book in his name to the Nellie McCall library at
the David McCall Elementary School. President Richard delivered some nice
words and Shep was thanked with a standing O. The book that was donated is
titled "Vote".
The program was introduced by Michelle Robbins. The speaker,
Garland McWatters, spoke about restoring heart and soul in the workplace. We
don't need to convince people to give heart and soul. We just need to allow
them to give heart and soul. As is our custom, a book was donated to the
Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary and signed by the
speaker. The book was "If You Give a Pig a Party".
| The meeting ended with club member John
Payton being recognized for his commencement speech at a local Plano
high school. |
