Where is our server? Rene must speak with the photographer about this! Our faithful servant has been snubbed! But he was still smiling and serving breakfast.
Secretary Pat Hite begins introducing visiting Rotarians and guests.

BUT....Judy Jackson decided to play Secretary and introduced three guests who are also potential club members. Judy's guests were Gordon Beach, Mabrie Jackson, and Russell Head.

Other visiting Rotarians and guests were Fred Bemenderfer (Land Surveyor), from the Plano West club, Ken Maun (Tax Assessor Collector) from the Plano Metro club, and Lee Dunlap (Architect), from the Plano Club. The tax man did not have his pin on again and thought his contribution from the previous week should carryover.....NOT!.

Absent were: Matt Brown, Richard Butterly, Rick Chron, David Daniels, Steve Dippel, Terry Dobbins, Yvonne Hanks, Ken Lambert, Juergen Mahneke, Bud McBrayer, Danny Morris, John Payton, Doug Ray, Mark Rhodes, John Roach, Greg Rushin, and Bob Warren.
Now to the business of the day....

Barefoot grape stomper, Warner Richeson, still needs more wine. We are only at 50% of our 150 bottle goal. Come on people, share!

Visiting Rotarian, Lee Dunlap, invited everyone to a City of Plano service at 8:30 but the stand-in bulletin iditor did not write down a date or the nature of the service. So fire me!
David Marks announced that there will be a Greet the Troops event at DFW on May 24th. We are in a friendly competition with the Plano West club to see who can be the most represented at this event.
Tom Rodgers shared a nice plaque presented to the Plano Sunrise Rotary members from Carter Blood Care. The award was the 2007 Top Performer award! Our group gave 1208 units!

Tom also announced that the next college drive will be 6/24 at the Frisco and Plano CCCCD campuses.
Flyers were on the tables for the First Annual Bobby-Sox Bowling fund raiser benefiting the Assistance Center of Collin County. This event is Friday, 6/27 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Plano Super Bowl, 2521 Avenue K, Plano. The event ends at 7:00 because anyone who still has bobby sox and a poodle skirt can't stay up past 8:00 PM.

Judy Jackson had been quiet too long and made an announcement that everyone in the Plano Sunrise club that lives in Plano (go figure) voted in the recent election! Tuesday, 5/20 at 5:00 PM, the new council members will be sworn in.

Visitor Fred B continued the praise by thanking our group for demonstrating the essence of Rotary in the things we do.

Retiring City Council member, Shep Stahel, was saddened that he was not recognized again this week, so he slipped out while wiping a tear from his eye.

The program was introduced by Michelle Robbins. The speaker, Matt "Red" Boswell, enlightened us on how much fun a bunch of crap can be. Red is the CEO (Chief Excrement Officer) of Pet Butler, a pet waste cleanup service. Red shared some very clever advertising and talked about making work fun, no matter what you do, even if you scoop poop! As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary and signed by the speaker. The book was "This is a Great Place for a Hot Dog Stand ". Hmmm, watch out for the chili.
The meeting was adjourned and everyone went off to their own messes, some smellier than others!
