SERVER RENE is ready to dish it out and Sgt-at-Arms Doug is ready to take it in.

VISITING ROTARIANS
, introduced by Secretary Pat Hite, were Z.Z. Kamruddin [Photo Supplies] from Donelson-Hermitage, Tennessee Rotary Club and Jim Anderson [Realtor] from the Plano Rotary Club.

LUCKY GUESTS, all proposed for membership by Judy Jackson, were Mabrie Jackson, Russel Head and Art Papathanasiou.

ABSENT [BUT MAKING UP SOMEWHERE] WERE Matt Brown, Richard Butterly, Rick Chron, David Daniels, Steve Dippel, George Elking, Yvonne Hanks, Rod Hogan, Sharon Lewis, Juergen Mahneke, David Marks, Don Mellor, Danny Morris, Robert Posner, Doug Ray, Michelle Robbins, Brenda Rogers and Don Wilhelmus.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE PINS were presented to Eric Hartter - 1 year, Bill Moore - 1 year, John Roach - 5 years, Tom Rodgers - 5 years, John Payton - 6 years, Greg Rushin - 6 years, Bob Warren - 8 years and Ken Lambert - 19 years.

PRESIDENT RICHARD II presented a Club Banner to Z.Z. Kamruddin [Photo Supplies] visiting us again <LINK> from Donelson-Hermitage, Tennessee Rotary Club <LINK>.

PRESIDENT RICHARD
reminded us to begin collecting auction items for Oktoberfest.  The current emphasis is on outdoor items whether for work or play, anything from baseballs to weed eaters. Someone already donated a handy traveling Horse Shoe game.

ATTORNEY JOHN ROACH
has been looking for years, for a good breakfast wine that was under $2 a bottle.  Sommelier and Oktoberfest Wine Auction collector Warner Richeson presented him with just such a bottle and said that all he had to do was open it and let it ferment.

PRESIDENT RICHARD II
called on Blood Drive Chairthing Tom Rodgers to remind us of The Campus Challenge Blood Drive on June 24th, and the Battle of the Badges Drive July 11-13th, which will be kicked off with a float in the 4th of July Parade. Sign up sheets were passed around.

SGT-AT ARMS
Doug Cargo politely left early. He notified the President, apologized to the speaker and paid a fine to ROTOPIG.  Then he passed the fine duties to Ken Lambert before he slipped out.

ACTING AND FORMER SGT-AT-ARMS Ken wasted no time in fining President Richard II for malfeasance in office.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, not introduced by the absent acting Program Chairman Michelle Robbins [who has gone to the dogs], was supposed to be Army Captain Brad Parker. He was AWOL stuck in traffic on I-30, but may appear again to tell us about Army Recruiting. Also appearing on the program by his own request was WestPoint Cadet Chris Villarreal from Allen who expected to give us two minutes but admirably filled in for the whole program time. Chris just finished his 3rd year and is taking 18-24 hours per semester in Civil Engineering plus mandatory sports.  He mentioned MIT and So Cal as great Engineering Schools but failed to mention Ken Lambert's Alma Mater, UTA, and so Ken fined him two-bits. Chris detailed the academics of the cadets and noted that there was about a 15% attrition rate. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in honor of the speaker and duly signed by him.  The pop-up book was about the Pledge of Allegiance, illustrated with well known National Monuments.

PROPOSED FOR MEMBERSHIP
and approved for publication are:  Art Papathanasiou [Insurance] from NY Life, Mabrie Jackson [Software] from Microsoft, Russel Head [Energy] from Green Mountain  and Gordon Beach [Hardware Stores] from Paddington Gatewood. They are all sponsored by Judy Jackson and will be inducted next week in a moving candlelight ceremony sans harp music provided no more written objections are received.
