WINTER IS ON THE WAY, the days are getting shorter.

NEXT WEEK'S MEETING, has been moved to the Thursday night before at 6:30 PM at Tino's Too for Installation of Officers and Directors.  If you don't come to the Installation, you will have to make up the meeting, two weeks before or two weeks after, by attending another Rotary Club meeting, a District Function one of which is their Installation [also on the same Thursday night as ours], an Oktoberfest Committee meeting or one of George Elkins' numerous committee meetings.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Pat Hite, were Bary Gasham [Banking], Doyle Dean [Education-Senior High] and Alice Hobbs [Symphony], all from the Plano Rotary Club and Kenneth Maun [Tax Assessor/Collector] from the Plano Metro Rotary Club. Ken was assessed a two-bit fine for rudely coming in late. As often as he has been here, he should know we meet at 7 am and not 7:30 am.  Gary Basham was one of the founders of our club <LINK> but faded away from becoming a member. Secretary Pat was fined for mangling introductions.

ABSENT WERE Joyce Baumbach, Yvonne Hanks, Ken Lambert, Juergen Mahneke, Don Mellor, Bill Neukranz, John Payton, Bill Peterson, Mark Rhodes, John Roach and Brenda Perry.

NEW PROGRAM CHAIRTHING for the coming year is David Marks.  Send your ideas and suggestions to him.

LUCKY GUESTS were Vickie McClung [Real Estate] guest of Brenda Rogers [Real Estate] and Russel Head [Energy] guest of Judy Jackson [Copy Machines].

SECRETARY PAT had to pay a stiff fine to ROTOPIG for a totally inappropriate joke.

LAME DUCK PRESIDENT RICHARD BIGGERS and Lame Duck Blood Drive Chairthing Tom Rodgers hustled us for Auction items for Oktoberfest and workers for two upcoming blood drives.

LAME DUCK SGT-AT-ARMS DOUG CARGO
fined President Richard II one more time and then passed ROTOPIG to incoming Sgt-at-Arms Scott Villines and then politely left early.

ALICE HOBBS DRUMMED UP
some Sympathy for the Symphony with the announcement of the Patriotic Pops <LINK> on Friday, July 4th at 3 pm in the Eisemann Center <LINK>. Join Hector Guzman, Plano Men of Note and the Rich-Tone Chorus as we honor our country and the people dedicated to preserving our
freedom.

DOUG RAY STROKED US
on behalf of Golf Chairperson Steve Blair for the Annual Golf Outing on Friday, June 27th. He has tee times at 9:24, 9:32 and 9:40 am at Twin Creeks.  Fee is $30 and and there is still time to sign up with the dirty ten already there.

RICHARD BUTTERLY
[Poor Richard's Cafe] called an Oktoberfest  sub-committee meeting for 8 am, right after the regular meeting,  to plan for soliciting gift certificates from local restaurants.

PR CHAIRTHING SHARON LEWIS had two awards to present. One to the Club from City House for the contributions that we have made to them and the other to Sixth Annual Oktoberfest Chair Person Randy Plumlee.

FOUNDATION CHAIRTHING ROD HOGAN presented Brenda Rogers with a Paul Harris Fellow.

INCOMING AND ACTING SGT-AT-ARMS Scott Villines fined Lame President Richard II for misreading the script and also fined Eye Doctor Don Wilhelmus for advertising his services to almost Past President Richard II.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by outgoing Temporary Program Chairthing Michelle Robbins, was Debbie James from My Possibilities <LINK>. My Possibilities is a non-profit, charitable (501(c)(3)), individual private pay, day facility for adults with disabilities, serving Collin County and surrounding areas. The goals of My Possibilities is to provide a day program that encourages lifelong learning, independence and pre-vocational skills in a safe and nurturing environment, for adults with disabilities post high school.
