FAITHFUL SERVER RENE dishes up a fine Mexican Breakfast. Next week he will be helping Richard Butterly from Poor Richard's Cafe <LINK> serve us breakfast. Richard caters our meeting twice a year for variety.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Joyce Baumbach, were Roger Hogarth [Communications] from the Park Cities Rotary Club and Shifty Manager Tom Muehlenbeck [Tourist] from the Plano Rotary Club.

GUESTS, introduced by Secretary Joyce, were Heather Wiseman, guest of and daughter to George Elwell and Bill Tillman, guest of George Elking.

PRESIDENT RANDY had members of the Board of Directors who missed the Installation pledge their support of the Constitution, By-laws and the President. They were Club Service Director Robert Posner, Public Relations Chairthing Sharon Lewis and International Service Director Bill Moore. Sgt-at-Arms Scott Villines repledged his unwavering support.

INDUCTED IN A MOVING candlelight ceremony that brought sponsor Judy to tears was Russel Head from Green Mountain Energy Company <LINK>. He has been loaned the classification of Energy.

ABSENT WERE Richard Biggers, Matt Brown, Rick Chron, Steve Dippel, Yvonne Hanks, Eric Hartter, Mabrie Jackson, Juergen Mahneke, Danny Morris, John Payton, Bill Peterson, Mark Rhodes, Michelle Robbins, Brenda Rogers and Greg Rushin.

POLITELY LEAVING EARLY was Art Papathanasiou at 7:22 am. He had notified the President, apologized to the speaker and had a fine moment with ROTOPIG.

ANNOUNCEMENT BY Rod that the wine donations for Oktoberfest were short. Judy Jackson and Bill Moore passed the hat.

MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS. Joyce Baumbach noted that everyone had an envelope with Tickets to sell. Rod Hogan reminded us to donate stuff for auction items. Tom Rodgers noted that we had 10-12 vehicles in the 4th of July parade and that 39 pints of blood had been collected. Richard Butterly said that he would cater next week's breakfast from Poor Richard's Cafe <LINK> for his birthday celebration.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Joyce Baumbach for Michelle Robbins, was Army Captain Brad Parker. He is the Plano Recruiting Company Commander. He has served on combat duty in Afghanistan and is looking forward to returning. Our presence there is working. He has seen streets that used to require full combat gear to traverse become a safe place to play soccer in t-shirts. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in the speakers name and duly signed by him. the Book was "Captain Duck".

NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS met for the first time at 8 am after the regular meeting. Present were Sharon Lewis, Bill Moore, Robert Posner, Scott Villines, Warner Richeson, Pat Hite, George Elwell, Joyce Baumbach, Randy Plumlee and Terry Dobbins.

Absent were Vice President Rick Chron, Treasurer Yvonne Hanks, Past President Richard Biggers, Membership Director Brenda Rogers and Community Service Director Doug Cargo. Tourists were Bill Neukranz, Becky Perry, David Marks, George Elking, John Roach, Shep Stahel and Richard Butterly.

District Governor L. B. Showalter wants all clubs to use the Club Runner Program on the District Web site. Classification talks are going to start up again. ADG Courtney Tanner will be the program next week. God's Food Pantry needs some help. August 20th Health Fare needs 4 people to work 8:30am-1 pm. President-Elect Pat looking into RILI. Warner Richeson will do shirts and hats again. International Director Bill Moore will be taking leftover books on August 2nd. Oktoberfest Committee meeting weekly on Thursday at 5:30 pm at the Bavarian Grill.

THIRD QUARTER DUES are delinquent. Veterinarian Yvonne Hanks is the new Treasurer and if you don't pay up, she may "sic" some animal on you.
