REUBEN AND RENE dished up a fine Mexican Breakfast and then took a bite themselves.

GUESTS AND VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Joyce, were Bill Persefield [Architect] from the Prestonwood Rotary Club and L. B. Broach [Minister] from the Plano Rotary Club and his lovely wife Lucille.

CLASSIFICATION TALK by Shep Stahel who holds the classification of Corporate Legal Management. He manages an office for IBM of 10 lawyers who cover IBM's interests in 20 states.

MEMBERSHIP PLUMMETS UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP. Danny Morris who held the classification of Software Engineer and was a neighbor of Shep Stahel has moved to East Texas after losing in the recent City Council Elections.

COLIN LIGHT WARNED US ABOUT THE BOOK PROJECT. On Saturday, August 2nd, we will need to pick up the leftover books from the Plano Centre and move them to the warehouse [which is southwest across 22nd street from Tino's Too's back door {west of the car wash}].  Several Saturday mornings will then be needed to repack for shipment to South Africa.  George Elwell's wife has secured a thousand free boxes for us.

PRESIDENT RANDY called on Brenda Rogers to present a make up banner from her makeup at a Rotary Club in Frankford, Michigan.

BATTLE OF THE BADGES BLOOD DRIVE is over for this year and was successful. There will be an awards ceremony and presentation of the trophy at the meeting on August 1st.

FOUNDATION CHAIRTHING ROD HOGAN had a Paul Harris Recognition Ceremony for Jennifer Smith and presented her with a medallion, plaque and pin and then politely left early at 7:39 am to drive to West Texas for his parents umpteenth wedding anniversary.

ADOPTION AWARENESS PICNIC on September 20th needs some sweat equity help from us.

PAST PRESIDENT RICHARD II presented tokens of appreciation to two of his past officers: Sharon Lewis and Colin Light, who helped make his stay in office easier.  Then as Oktoberfest Co-Chairthing, he reminded us it was "Tool Week" and asked for tools for the tool box as auction items.  Secretary Joyce presented him with an 8-year perfect attendance pin.

PUZZLE OF THE WEEK.  Treasurer Yvonne Hanks will give a $20 bill to the first five people who get the right answer.  What do these words have in common:  Banana, Dresser, Grammar, Potato, Revive, Uneven, Assess?

PUBLICITY CHAIRMAN Sharon Lewis showed the semifinal mockup of the Oktoberfest Poster and a copy of Inside Collin County Business. They will be giving us a free ad in several editions before Oktoberfest.

THERE WILL BE A PROGRAM next week plus the Battle of The Badges presentation as well as the Board of Directors meeting at 8 am.

VOCATIONAL SERVICE DIRECTOR George Elwell has revived Classification talks at the request of our beloved President.  He is asking for volunteers, otherwise he will just assign classification talk spots, so volunteer or be surprised.

IN A FIT OF BUMBLING INEPTITUDE President Randy tried to make next week "Geek Week" for Oktoberfest Auction Items, but Geek Week Chairman Mabrie Jackson is going to be gone on vacation, so Geek Week has been restored to it's previous, proper, palatial, palatable, passionate place in the middle of August. Bring geek stuff such as pen drives, card readers, wireless access points, routers, CD-RW disks, DVD disks, optical mice, wireless mice, miceless mice, etc.

THIRD QUARTER DUES are delinquent. Veterinarian Yvonne Hanks is the new Treasurer and if you don't pay up, she may "sic" some animal on you.
