PRESIDENT RANDY called
for announcements and got Bill Moore telling about the Book Project.
On Saturday, August 2nd, we will pick up the leftover books from
the Plano Centre and move them to the warehouse [which is southwest
across 22nd street from Tino's Too's back door {west of the car wash}].
Several Saturday mornings will then be needed to repack for shipment to
South Africa. |

DIRECTOR OF CLUB
ADMINISTRATION WARNER RICHESON announced
that he was working up another order of Plano Sunrise Rotary Shirts
which will cost about $30 and have the logo on the sleeve. |
DISTRICT GOVERNOR L.B. SHOWALTER
will make his official visit next week. Bumbling Ineptitude had Dr. Canose -
CEO Presbyterian Hospital of Plano scheduled for next week and he has been
rescheduled to 10/24.

day drive at nine different sites according to District 5810 Blood Drive
Chairthing George Elking. |

STEERING COMMITTEE present were Pam Haines
[Plano PD], Bobby and Teressa Cave [Take Time To Travel], Jim Evans [Carter
Blood Care] and Diane Kolb [St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church].
The Cave's drew one of the bloody entry ballots for the free trip.

TODAY'S PROGRAM,
introduced by program Chairthing David Marks, was Media Mogul Mackey
Morris, who used to write for the Dallas Times Herald. He told us all
about Generation Y, also known as "The Millennials". They were
born in 1977 or later and follow the baby boomers who are no longer the
majority generation. They are connected, have a World View and are
Community oriented. They want to have fun. As is our custom, a book was
donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary
School in the speakers name and duly signed by him. The Book was
"What On Earth Can It Be". |

AM. Present were Richard Biggers,
George Elwell, Scott Villines, Joyce Baumbach, Randy Plumlee, Rick
Chron, Pat Hite, Bill Moore, Robert Posner, Warner Richeson and Terry
Dobbins. Absent were Treasurer Yvonne Hanks, Membership Brenda Rogers,
Publicity Sharon Lewis and Community Service Doug Cargo. |

Tourists were David Marks, Juergen Mahneke, Judy
Jackson, Rod Hogan, George Elking and Colin Light.
Absentees need to be better about getting their make-ups into Secretary
Joyce. The Directors are supporting Bud McBrayer for District Governor.
God's Food Pantry needs funds and sweat equity help. Book project starts
tomorrow at 10:30 am. Will need a thousand boxes, packing tape and shrink
wrap for repacking the books into standard 12" x12" x18" books boxes. One
new member was proposed and approved for publication. There are 54 members
[with 4 on waivers] and 2 potentials in addition to the one proposal. |
