PRESIDENT RANDY confers with Sgt-at-Arms Scott and Past President Bob as Secretary Joyce signs in Zina from Flower Mound who is then served breakfast by our faithful server, Rene.

SGT-AT-ARMS SCOTT and ROTOPIG have a fine moment with Shep Stahel for his Joke of the Day machinations.

VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Joyce, were Fred Bemenderfer [Land Surveyor] from Plano West Rotary Club, Susan Plonka [Ad Agency] from Plano Metro Rotary Club and Zina Zilbert [Home Wellness] from Flower Mound Noon Rotary Club.

SGT-AT-ARMS SCOTT fined Secretary Joyce for mangling Fred Bemenderfer's name and then fined Fred for accepting Judy mangling even after being asked if it was right.

RONNIE DAY [from Ted Dickey Funeral Homes] was the guest of Judy Jackson and she was fined for over advertising his profession as one that might be needed for some of our members.

ABSENT WERE Matt Brown, Richard Butterly, David Daniels, George Elking, Yvonne Hanks, Eric Hartter, Russel Head, Pat Hite, Rod Hogan, Sharon Lewis, Juergen Mahneke, Bill Moore, Art Papathanasiou, John Payton, Becky Perry, Doug Ray, John Roach, Brenda Rogers and Jennifer Smith.

SPECIAL GUEST was Major Scott Barnett, who is the son-in-law of Ken Lambert.  Scott is a McKinney Firefighter and will soon deploy to Iraq again where he will be working with local authorities to better the infrastructure.

FORMER MEMBER JANE WYEN was also the guest of Judy Jackson.

PRESIDENT RANDY called on two beautiful geeks to promote "Geek Week" for Oktoberfest Auction Item Donations.

OKTOBERFEST CO-CHAIR THING RICHARD BIGGERS gave an update on Oktoberfest and Packet Princess Judy Jackson pushed for more sponsors. David Marks noted that the next "Greet the Troops" at DFW for us to participate in was coming up on September 6th.

CLASSIFICATION TALK by Doug Cargo, Ph.D. [Environmental Engineering] turned out to be a non-classification talk as Doug failed to say anything about his classification until he was fined at the end and had to step back for 30 seconds to say what he did as an Environmental Engineer for Huitt-Zollars Inc.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Program Chairthing David Marks, was GySgt Teresa A. Robbins from the  Wounded Warrior Regiment.  “The mission of the Wounded Warrior Regiment is to provide and facilitate assistance to wounded, ill and injured Marines, sailors and their families throughout the phases of their recovery". Teresa has been in the Marines for 20 years and coordinates the services for DFW and surrounding states.  As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in the speaker's name and duly signed by her.  The book was "The Marine Corp [Defending the Nation]" by John Hamilton."  

VISITING ROTARIAN, Fred Bemenderfer had some nice things to say about our club.
