FAITHFUL SERVER RENE is at it again.  Dishing up Tino's Mexican Breakfast for our edification.

PRESIDENT RANDY found a few announcements. The Book Project is going on every Saturday from 9-11 am. There is a Celebration of Enterprise sponsored in part by the Inside Collin County Business Journal at the Plano Civic Center on Wednesday, August 24th. Plano Chamber of Commerce Annual Luncheon, Thursday, September 25th where our own Richard Butterly will be awarded the Small Business Person of the Year Award. Children's Medical Center of Plano ribbon cutting at 10 am on September 25th.

PR CHAIRMAN SHARON LEWIS presented a trophy to Doug Ray from the recent Hendrick Academy of Honor Gold Tournament. It was for being furthurest from the pin, but still on the green.

SECRETARY JOYCE presented Yvonne Hanks with a 5 year perfect attendance pin.
 

BUD MCBRAYER EMOTED ABOUT his 20-20 vision and recent car body repair at SheerMetal Collision Repair.

JUDY JACKSON INTRODUCED SPA MAN to promote the next two weeks auction items for Oktoberfest. Bring in donations of Beauty Aids, Spa Treatments, Toe jobs, Facials, Finger Painting,  etc.  Bob Warren was seen laughing so hard he cried.

MABRIE JACKSON showed some of the goodies collected during Geek Week.

CLASSIFICATION TALK by Rod Hogan [City Management].  Rod has worked for the City of Plano for 33 years.

NO OKTOBERFEST MEETING NEXT WEEK.

TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Program Chairthing David Marks, was Karen Marks from the Relief Nursery of Collin County. This is a program  for the prevention of child abuse and neglect in our Community. This program is enthusiastically supported by State Representative Jerry Madden, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Corrections. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in the name of the speaker and enthusiastically signed by Jerry Madden on behalf of the speakers.  the book was "The Autumn Equinox - Celebrating the Harvest."
