They are around the corner from the Bavarian Grill where Oktoberfest will be on the 20th. TODAY'S PROGRAM, introduced by Program Chairthing David Marks, was Louis Bremer, who is a partner in SheerMetal Collision Repair and who recently completed a year [Class of 2006-2007] as a White House Fellow. White House Fellows typically spend a year working as full-time, paid special assistants to senior White House Staff, the Vice President, Cabinet Secretaries and other top-ranking government officials. Fellows also participate in an education program consisting of roundtable discussions with renowned leaders from the private and public sectors, and trips to study U.S. policy in action both domestically and internationally. Fellowships are awarded on a strictly non-partisan basis. As is our custom, a book was donated to the Nellie McCall Library at the David McCall Elementary School in the name of the speaker and signed by him. The book was "Our 50 States" by Lynne Cheney.
