VISITING ROTARIANS, introduced by Secretary Joyce Baumbach were City Manager Tom Muehlenbeck [Tourist] from the Plano Rotary Club, Brad Keith [College Administration] from the Plano Rotary club and Ken Maun [Tax Assessor-Collector] from the Plano Metro Rotary Club.

MEMBERSHIP PLUMMETED AGAIN with the resignation of Russel Head [Energy] who worked for Green Mountain Energy, but left them to start his own Energy Consulting Business. He was inducted July 11, 2008 in a Moving Candlelight Ceremony that brought tears to his sponsor, Judy Jackson. He wasn't energized to last more than one quarter.

SPECIAL GUESTS were Jane Wyen, guest of Judy Jackson and Honorary Member Hunter Hanks who had an uplifting experience with his mother Yvonne Hanks.

ABSENT WERE Richard Butterly, Doug Cargo, rick Chron, David Daniels, George Elwell, Eris Hartter, Ray Hopper, Ken Lambert, Vickie McClurg, Don Mellor, Becky Perry, Bill Peterson, Greg Rushin and Don Wilhelmus.

BILL MOORE PRESENTED us with a banner from Denard, France where he made up a few weeks ago. The new 15 member club formed about a year ago and meets near the famous beaches of Normandy.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE PINS were presented to Robert Posner - 1 year, Randy Plumlee - 6 years and Pat Hite - 7 years.

OKTOBERFEST CO-CHAIRTHING Richard Biggers got in some last minute announcements about the coming event on Monday. Auction chairman Judy Jackson explained about the new 2 part auction cards that each person participating in auctions will use to help streamline the process and help with the bookkeeping.

PRESIDENT RANDY divided the Oktoberfest workers into three groups for training: Food [Preparation, Serving, Clean-up], Accounting [Ticket sales, Auctions, Bookkeeping, Check-out] and Other [Greeters, Check-in, Runners, Photographers]
